A new website and a new beginning, although this is just a continuum of something that I’ve been working on for a long time.
A late bloomer, one could say, but only because this flower has something more to it. I wanna work this art on every level, and I want every level to be authentic.
Authenticity, sincerity, vulnerability and truth is something very important to me and something quite rare in a superficial world. We can see it in most children (therefore my endless fascination for them) but we all have it shimmering deep inside of us.
In a way to kickstart this new beginning I’ve set up a plan for myself divided into 3 parts.
Part 1: Emotional/forgiveness
As a Christian I’m always working towards becoming more Christ-like and the most fundamental task for a Christian is to go through forgiveness. I recently had a very meaningful talk with a brother of mine where he asked me a bunch of questions about the things I have a hurt towards in life. The trick is to keep asking questions like why you are angry/anxious, if there’s any person involved, and then get to the bottom of it until you know exacly what you need to forgive and bless. You’ll know if you’ve hit a soft spot when you start ugly crying! All that hurt needs to get out of the system, but take it slow with one person and one event at a time. It’s helpful to have someone you trust to guide you through this process or simply share the moment with God.
Part 2: Intellectual/create a vision
I’ve chosen to use Dr Jordan Petersons selfauthoring program selfauthoring.com in order to write down my goals and visions and create a clear picture for myself. It will take some time but it’s a great and proper investment and I will share some of my own results on this blog.
Part 3: Physical/stretching and flexibility
I’ve enrolled on a stretching and flexibility course at academyfordance.com as a way to prepare my body for this new beginning of mine. I have a goal to develope as an athlete and this is a way to prepare my body together with my heart and spirit.
This is my way of kickstarting a new beginning which I’m putting my whole heart and soul into, and I know that it will lead to something great!
I’ll end this post with a quote from the book Daring Greatly by Brené Brown, which pretty much sums up what I aim for right now:
To love ourselves and support each other in the process of becoming real is perhaps the greatest single act of daring greatly.
